The 29th Manila International Bookfair
So JUST IN CASE you’d like to learn more about the craft of writing, who better to share their experiences than the ones who are there, knee-deep in the industry? Check it out:
“A series of writing workshops that show the power and relevance of the written word will be one of the highlights of the 29th Manila International Book Fair 2008 set on Sept. 12 to 16, at the SMX Convention Center, Seashell Drive, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
The Lit! Illuminating Writing Beyond the Page will feature personalities experts in scriptwriting, freelance writing, copywriting and publishing, who will share will share their expertise through a series of presentations and forums that are open to the public.
Topics include: ”Trouble-Free Freelancing”, on Sept. 14, from 3 to 4:30 pm; ”The Right Script”, on and writing a successful screenplay, Sept. 15, from 1:30 to 3 pm; ”Publish or Perish!” on to getting literary work published “on, Sept. 14, from 1:30 to 3 pm; ”Won in 30 Seconds” on writing great advertising commercials on Sept. 15, at 6 pm.
Panelists include Dean Alfar, Jade Bernas, Sarge Lacuesta, Erwin Romulo, Luis Katigbak, Yvette Tan, Khavn dela Cruz and Quark Henares.
With over 300 exhibitors, the MIBF showcases the largest and most varied collection of literature, textbooks, educational supplements, general references, religious and inspirational titles, self-help books, management books, Filipiniana, coffee table books, popular novels, children’s books, art books, graphic novels, rare and hard-to-find titles, magazines, audio and e-books, multimedia, teaching supplies and services, publishers’ technology, and travel materials.
